KinoLight Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rimami Oy handles information when you use the KinoLight iOS app.
KinoLight is designed to process camera input locally on your device in order to analyze a TV screen and control compatible lights on your local network.
Who We Are
KinoLight is provided by Rimami Oy.

Information Processed by the App
KinoLight uses the following device capabilities and data in order to provide its core features:
- Camera access to detect and analyze the TV screen for calibration and light synchronization.
- Local network access to discover and communicate with compatible lights, TVs, AirPlay devices, and Google Cast devices on your Wi-Fi network.
- On-device settings and app preferences stored locally on your device.
Camera frames used for screen detection and light synchronization are processed locally on your device as part of the app’s functionality.
Subscriptions and Purchases
KinoLight offers subscriptions through Apple’s in-app purchase system and uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and entitlement delivery inside the app.
Depending on your purchase activity, Apple and RevenueCat may process information such as purchase history, subscription status, and an anonymous app-specific identifier needed to determine whether premium features should be available in the app.
KinoLight does not use a custom account system and does not intentionally link your subscription status to your real-world identity.
Third-Party Services
The released version of KinoLight covered by this policy may use the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat, for subscription entitlement management.
- Apple, for App Store purchases and related billing.
- Google Cast SDK, when you use Google Cast features.
These providers may process limited technical, purchase, diagnostic, or device-related information as required for their services. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy terms.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Local Network Communications
KinoLight communicates with supported devices on your local network in order to discover lights and casting devices and to send control commands required for synchronization and calibration features. This local network communication is part of the app’s core function.
Data Retention
KinoLight primarily stores settings and configuration data locally on your device. Rimami Oy does not store uploaded camera videos because the released app covered by this policy does not upload them.
Subscription and payment-related records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
Your Choices
You can stop the app from accessing the camera or your local network at any time in iOS Settings, although this may limit or prevent the app’s core features from working.
You can also manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Children’s Privacy
KinoLight is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and publish the revised version at the same URL.
